Blue and Family

I believe this may well be my favourite piece.  A sense of family, sobriety, gentleness.  I love the soft colours, and the sense of light and shade.  I particularly enjoyed the way that the birds’ bodies come alive with my choice of exact colours in thread and fabric.  A very peaceful, gentle scene, creating relaxation……bringing good therapy. 

Cotton on canvas.  There are about90 pieces of fabric layered together with precision stitching and thread colours of pure rayon by Janome.  About 35 hours.
