Fish Tank

Have you ever tried to sew sand?

 We have a beautiful fish tank in our home and to watch our fish is relaxing and theraputic.  So it was, that one day I decided to sew a back drop.

 Silk/satin/cotton/fishnet/appliqué/embroidery and thousands of stitches in the same culminated in the fish tank, after at least 180 hours at the sewing machine!  The brilliance of gold metallic thread and shading, bring out the light from overhead, as the sewn fish seems so at home, they’re almost real.

 “I like the little ones.”
