| My best friend’s getting married down by the
sea! So, we’re all decked out and waiting, as bridesmaids chat and await
the arrival of the bride by boat from across the seaside mountain scenery.
Caribbean flora, enhance the striking colour of the chief’s formal attire.
Meanwhile a fat man basks in the sun ‘under de coconut tree’, reflecting on
the beauty of the mountains. Sailcloth/cotton/net/polyester/satin/linen on canvas. About 70 hours, and hundreds of stitches on tiny pieces of fabric and threads blended to create space, distance and surf. This is Amo’s favourite piece…..and very covered by friends. “I was really able to impress myself!”
