White beaches at your doorstep,
|
Rake the sand on Sunday |
Light a smoke pot early |
| |
thatch palm in your yard, |
do it early, mind; |
to keep the pest away |
| |
 food upon the table, |
the yard must look its best |
 for we are entertaining |
| |
how could life be hard? |
for friends with kids behind! |
come rain or shine all day! |
| |

The old Cayman Islands seems a
far way off from the modern financial centre of today - and yet, if you'll
take the time to peek, it's still right there, waiting to ensnare you in its
ancient wiles and ways to make sure that once you see our shores, you will
always be back. |

For those in the know, it is
not hard to find the lady who makes peppermint sticks, hanging them to dry
from her rafter; or the old gentleman who is passing on his skills at
twisting and threading and plaiting the thatch palm into what - a hat, a
plumed bird or old-style mooring rope. Yes, the old Cayman is still there
and we are proud of her. We are just as proud of where we are today - the
safest tourist destination in the Caribbean and a thoroughly modern society
at that! Come visit! |

The following links, in no
particular order, are selected to point you in a few specific directions -
no glossy tourist stuff here - but you will find that these links will lead
you comfortably to the real Cayman Islands - by the hand - the way we have
always looked after each other. Enjoy... |
