My African Dolls

My popularity concerning my sewing abilities came about several years ago, when I did a show of rag dolls and various household decorative items, I also enjoy doing.  The reward I get by the gratitude shown, in particular, by the little boys and girls who have received my custom crafted dolls, and “boy things” at birth or birthday celebrations, truly is immeasurable.     

Whereas I have kept one or two fro myself….I’m a little bit big for playing with them!  So I decided on rag dolls for the wall! 

This is cotton and satin on canvas, about 40 hours of sewing and too many varied stitches to mention.  When I took it to the photo Studio to be framed, it was as though this frame was specifically manufactured for my African dolls. 

I am particularly proud of those faces!
