Perfect Love

Some time ago I saw a picture of a cross, which was drawn with little houses and flowers.  Though it was black and white, it encompassed God and nature. 

When I started this picture that was in my mind, so I began with the church on the hill.  As I progressed I realized that I’d have needed a much larger canvas to complete such a work in the size which I was working…..but the church was very pretty, I thought.  Then this scenery from a hillside in St. Martin developed. 

It is my mind’s eye view of the church we attended at Easter four or five years ago.  You should hear the choir sing in this church!  The priest told them they sing like angels……and they do! 

Mostly satin on canvas.  About 18 hours and maybe 50 pieces.
