Rain or Shine

In the quiet upper class village, rain has just sopped.  The trees and walkways are still wet as the ladies go out for a stroll and chat, accompanied by the watchful curious dog. 

Thousands of stitches in rayon make up the walkways, shadow of the trees, mountains and meadows.  Ladies are dressed in satin, while satin flowers mingle with cotton and rayon in the fore ground. 

There are approximately 300 pieces.  This project took over three weeks to complete.  Finally I decided it wa done!  This drawing is taken from a suggested Miracl stitch design from Janome.  It was originally intended to be done in wool. 

I like this better.
