The Webster House

A famous Caymanian landmark located in South Sound,.  This piece reflects the house in the late 1970’s when it was almost engulfed in the natural beauty and shadows of trees and plant life.  Across the peaceful street, on the seaside, large trees shaded the road making the area an ideal place for a healthy afternoon stroll.

 There are many intricate pieces, which make up the delicate green scenery.  Trees in the background are stitched with the most brilliant colours of rayon embroidery thread.  It took approximately 100 hours to complete this piece, which my husband asked me to do.

 Other artists have painted this house in watercolours and oils.  These may be seen in various places on the island.  This however is a one of a kind original, which I could not identically reproduce.
